Established in 1989, it is a Power Utility Giant, rated as Excellent under Memorandum of Understanding with Ministry of Power since 1993-94. Power Grid is renowned for its excellent customer service and to achieve that, they are highly dependent on their communication backbone. The Jammu plant was facing a rigorous problem of connecting to their residential complex for day-to-day communication working in shift and during emergencies.

In the modern era of digital age, every state requires electricity being its basic necessity and with Jammu being a very cold state strives even more for it. With seamless connectivity and 24x7 uptime being the necessity of their service, Power Grid required constant communication between their plant and residential complex. With analog PBX, as the existing system installed in plant, Power Grid required a cost-effective communication solution between the two places keeping their existing system intact.


Matrix offered its telecom solution with IP-PBX – ETERNITY GE and Gateway SETU VFX for seamless connectivity with stability between plant and residential complex. ETERNITY GE is a cost-effective SME IP-PBX for futuristic businesses, with scalable platform and universal connectivity that can be flexibly configured, expanded and centrally managed to address specific communication needs.

Moreover, SETU VFX is a multi-channel SIP Gateway offering seamless connectivity between VoIP and PSTN networks. This Gateway offers 4 FXO ports to connect Analog based telephony infrastructure to an IP network. SETU VFX enables businesses to create seamless office environment, integrating a traditional phone system into IP network and significantly reduce communication costs.

CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN THE EXISTING ANALOG PBX THROUGH VOIP GATEWAY - SETU VFX TO IP-PBX ETERNITY GE
Existing Analog PBX working at the plant required to connect with newly installed Matrix IP-PBX, ETERNITY GE to provide seamless connectivity between plant and residential complex. But as the existing PBX was an analog one, it could not be connected directly to the ETERNITY GE. Hence Matrix provided a solution through its VOIP Gateway SETU VFX to terminate its FXO ports in existing Analog PBX, making it a bridge to connect IP network of ETERNITY GE. This allows Power Grid to keep their existing Analog PBX in compatibility with the new age IP-PBX.
